XP - hidden program

Now lets play with hidden tool which is iExpress...it isnt something like huge find...but then its hidden for some people that doesnt know it exist...
as usual go to: Start Menu > Run > type "iexpress"

you will get a pop up screenshot like this: so the question is what is iExpress?!..
here is the definition took from tlab explaning what it do: IExpress is a utility that lets you create standalone installation packages that can be used to extract files or temporarily extract installation source files and then run the setup command.

IExpress creates an output file, and executable (.exe) that contains all the files you specified, and the instructions to carry out the extraction of these files.

The files are stored compressed in Microsoft's cabinet format.

Dont worry if you dont understand what it define above...you can always count on microsoft website which contain details info step by step with screenshot on below link:

and just a little add on...there is one powerful feature name GPEDIT for long term also known as Local Group Policy Editor...
you can go there by: Start Menu > Run > type "gpedit.msc" this feature allow you to modify virtually every feature in Windows XP PRO without having to resort to regedit.

It pack with information on each policies run in your machine.

Not enough of tips? well ok fine! lets play with another called "MMC" ...its another powerful feature that i use oftenly to manage my network...

you can obtain MMC feature by going to: Start Menu > Run > type "MMC" Yup...dont cuss me yet! i know it shown nothing...you can add the feature on your own by going to FILE > ADD/REMOVE SNAP IN Oh yeah patient, patient ...i know it shown nothing...you still need to click on "ADD" located on below then add the features that you use oftenly...Save it on your desktop or somewhere protected place to access the customize features easily.
